WKW Precision Engineering Co. Ltd. was established in 1970 by Richard Wyatt manufacturing spare parts for the machine tool industry nationwide. The Company began in a small mill doing mainly sub contract work on small components with a workforce of only 3 people. Today the Company has grown to over 40 employees, manufacturing components for the food, printing and confectionery industries.
We specialise in the manufacture of various types of complete gears & sprockets, both from customer specified drawings or reversed engineered. Thread milling is another service offered with the capability to manufacture screws up to 4,000 mm long and nuts to suit.
The Company also has a Tool and Cutting Grinding facility which is available as an extra service. With a wide range of machinery that includes 14 C.N.C. Turning Machines with bar feeding capabilities for large batch production at competitive prices and 8 C.N.C. Milling Machines with a maximum stroke of 1020 mm in the x-axis including a fourth axis capability. Machining of splines both internal and external to British Standards can be done with a choice of surface grinding, centre less grinding and external as well as internal cylindrical grinding.
Services also available include gear grinding (both spur and helical), spiral bevels, worms and worm wheels, spark eroding, the machining of new and re-worked cams and the broaching of squares, splines and hexagons. We also specialise in the re-conditioning of gearboxes.
