WKW Precision Engineering Limited was founded by Mr. Richard Wyatt in 1981, with a vision to supply high-quality engineered parts to the rapidly growing machine tool industry in the Calder Valley and beyond.Specialising in manual machining, gear cutting, leadscrews, and splines and operating out of a former mill WKW quickly gained a reputation for excellence.
Operating out of a former mill on Garden Street North, WKW planted its roots. In 1986, Mr. Wyatt was joined by his son, Mr. Adrian Wyatt, who became Operations Director. Adrian introduced fresh ideas, and under his additional leadership, WKW embraced new technologies, purchasing one of its first CNC machines, which sparked innovation and growth.
Today, WKW offers a comprehensive range of services, including CNC turning, milling, EDM, grinding, gear cutting, full inspection services.
With a wide range of machinery that includes C.N.C. Turning Machines with bar feeding capabilities for large batch production at competitive prices and C.N.C. Milling Machines with a maximum stroke of 1020 mm in the x-axis including a fourth axis capability. Machining of splines both internal and external to British Standards can be done with a choice of surface grinding, centre less grinding and external as well as internal cylindrical grinding.
Services also available include gear grinding (both spur and helical), spiral bevels, worms and worm wheels, spark eroding, the machining of new and re-worked cams and the broaching of squares, splines and hexagons.
